UTAH REMODEL EXPERTS
Our team of remodel experts here at Express Home Services can help you with any construction project you envision for your home. Our "Start to Finish" system process ensures no detail is left unaccounted for. We start with our free in-home consultation where you express your ideas, needs, and wants for the space. Our remodeling expert will refine these into a solid plan with your input. From there, he will present a detailed contract and work description for your approval. Once you give us the go-ahead we start making the wheels turn by booking a convenient time period with you, getting supplies ordered, coordinating the labor, and finalizing the last of the details.
OUR REMODELING PROCESS
We have remodeling down with our tried and true process. It starts with a free in-home consultation. Our remodel specialist will discuss your ideas and get a layout of the space. We can share pictures of our past work and look at any of yours that you would like to incorporate. Your desired type of style is discussed, whether it be Modern, Traditional, Contemporary, or even Minimalistic. Color schemes, flooring, and lighting options are considered. If a countertop, sink, or bathtub is being replaced we talk about your desired preference. After we gather all the necessary information our remodel specialist will work up a detailed bid and email it to you for your consideration. If you have any requests for changes we can easily alter the quote. Our remodeling specialist will be available to answer any questions and will be there every step of the way.
After approval is given we select a date to start the work. On the first day, our crew will arrive to start the demolition process. Plastic sheeting is applied and everything is covered in order to minimize the entrance of debris and dust into other rooms. Depending on the nature of the remodel our crew may remove and dispose of countertops, flooring, cabinets, sinks, bathtubs, and even walls.
Once the space is ready we start with the plumbing modifications. Drain lines and water lines are stubbed with new shutoffs. New wiring is run to the desired location of lights and outlets. Can lights, light fixtures, and rope lights may also be installed at this time.
The next step is to make the walls ready for paint. New sheetrock or patches are installed, seams are taped and mudded. After this, we texture the walls in the style of your choosing. Paint is applied with a minimum of two coats.
Flooring is often the next step in our process. We install all types including tile, laminate, wood, and PVC. Our crew will prepare the floor by replacing or repairing the subfloor. A vapor barrier is usually applied before installation of the flooring material. If the floor is tile our crew will carefully measure and cut the pieces to the necessary size and lay them on a mortar bed. Once the tile has set, we apply the grout and sealant. Wood and PVC floors are installed according to the manufactures specifications. The new floor is then covered while we finish the remodel.
Our process continues with the installation of cabinets and countertops. Our professionals perfectly place and install all kinds of counters including quartz, granite, and concrete. Once these have been installed we can put in and connect the sink to the water lines and drains.
If a backsplash is desired it will be installed at this point of the remodel. Popular backsplash tile choices include mosaic or subway. After installation is complete we seal and waterproof the backsplash.
No remodel is complete until new light switches, outlets, and covers are installed. Once complete we do any needed touchups and perform a final cleaning. Your newly remodeled space will be an area of your home that you and your family will enjoy for years to come!
